The Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) works hand in hand with our community to preserve our small town charm and beautiful conservation area, while also encouraging economic growth and sustainability.

More than two thousand people call the Stockton area home and Cedar County itself boasts a population of over 14,000.  Stockton is the Cedar County seat, making it the hub of county business and activity.

The SACC is active in promoting the Stockton area by sponsoring many community events and programs.  Stockton is the home to the annual Black Walnut Festival, which draws thousands of visitors for a grand fall festival.  In addition, our pristine lake and preservation of our great outdoors allows for weekly fishing tournaments (big and small) and wildlife watchers a beautiful place to get away.

Stockton's 25,000-acre lake offers three hundred miles of unspoiled shoreline with clean clear water, welcoming over one million visitors a year a beautiful vacation destination.  In addition to swimming, recreational and tournament fishing, scuba diving, and kayaking, Stockton Lake was rated as one of the top ten sailing lakes in the country by SAIL Magazine.

Whether a must indoor sleeper or an outdoor enthusiast, a variety of camping opportunities, hotels, motels and cabins make Stockton the perfect lake get away!

Along with water activities, the Stockton/Cedar County area provides a prime location for great Missouri wildlife hunting, bald eagle and other feathered friend watching, quiet and challenging trails and a beautiful place to call home. Our area offers some of the best public hunting land in the state, and some of the nicest, cleanest walking trails as well.

We are conveniently located 2 hours south of Kansas City, 1 hour north of Springfield and less than two hours northeast of Joplin, Mo. In addition to easy access from major highways we offer a community airport and dedicated water landing strip.
